EP: Julian Write – From Trees & Roses
Serving as the prelude to his forthcoming debut album, Julian Write drops off his brand new EP entitled ‘From Trees & Roses.’ The 24 year old emcee, hailing from California, uses the audio-biography to give us a first person account of the adversities faced as a Mexican-American growing up in The Golden State.
Julian on the project:
“The meaning behind the title is a double entendre. I’m from Woodland by way of Sacramento, both know as the City of Trees; my roots are in Guadalajara, The City of Roses. So these are stories from the perspective of someone who not only lived in these places but understands the social and political climates of them. The writing process took place in both Cali and Mexico.”
