Tiera Kennedy Releases Beyoncé Cover “1+1”
364 days after the release of Beyoncé’s 2025 GRAMMY Album of the Year winner, Cowboy Carter, featured vocalist and rising R&B / country / Gospel trailblazer Tiera Kennedy is celebrating in style, widely releasing her lauded cover of the icon’s “1+1,” available now across streaming platforms and DSPs.
Originally released as an Apple Music exclusive cover last June, the fan-demanded wide release commemorates a year of trajectory-shifting moments for Kennedy. “Even a year later, it’s hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that I got to collaborate with Beyoncé,” Tiera shares. “It’s truly been a dream come true.”
This week, Kennedy joined GRAMMY nominees The War & Treaty for the launch of their nationwide headline Plus One Tour, which she’ll open all spring long. With additional upcoming appearances slated at Stagecoach, CMA Fest, and Vineyard Jam, her first-ever headliner at Nashville’s Basement East on May 19, the next season of her Apple Music Radio show on deck, and a swath of new music to come, Tiera is just warming up for her busiest year yet.
“Getting back into the writer’s room has been so refreshing,” Tiera reflects. “The past few years have been a rollercoaster, and I’ve really learned to lean on my friends, family, and faith through it all. Now, it feels like all the roots I’ve planted are blossoming and it’s been so special to write about this season of life. I’m excited for everyone to hear it!”
