Hurricane Wisdom Releases Brand New Music Video For “OT”

With his infectious melodies and sharp sense of songwriting, Hurricane Wisdom is quickly rising in the Dirty South. The North Florida rhymer continues to lay the groundwork for Perfect Storm: The Horizon, the sequel to his impactful Perfect Storm mixtape, releasing his new single and music video “OT.”

Piecing his vocal runs between minor-key synth horns and buzzing leads, Hurricane works his upper register as he shouts out his friends in prison and toasts to his success with three cups full. In the video, Hurricane enjoys a trip to New York City, getting crossfaded in his Mercedes Benz Sprinter before making stops in Times Square, a SoHo art gallery, and a local bodega.

More than a deluxe, The Horizon brings 17 original songs, not yet collected on any project, including the viral hits “On Stream” featuring ReGGie, which reached reached #2 on YouTube’s Trending Chart, and peaked at #14 on YouTube’s Music Video charts, and “Drugs Callin’ (Remix)” featuring Lil Baby (peaked at #1 on YouTube’s Trending chart, currently at #36 on YouTube’s Music Video chart). The Horizon also gives a proper home to Hurricane’s other Summer ’25 trending singles: “Woosah” (which peaked at #9 for YouTube trending and #40 on the YouTube Top Music Video chart), “Afraid” (reached at #12 on YouTube’s Trending Chart), and most recently, “Powerhouse,” which Hurricane debuted on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon stream with On The Radar and reached the Top 10 of YouTube’s trending chart. Featuring new songs with guest appearances from G Herbo, Babychiefdoit, Raq Baby, and more, Perfect Storm: The Horizon releases on October 17th via Rebel/gamma.

Charting on the Billboard 200 for three weeks (#126 peak) upon its release in February, the original Perfect Storm was a statement of purpose from Hurricane Wisdom, welcoming street heroes like leepy Hallow, NoCap, Fredo Bang, Skilla Baby, and more. The mixtape is home to “Giannis (Remix),” a new version of Hurricane’s 2024 breakout hit with a guest verse from Polo G, and the original version of “Drugs Callin,” plus trending hits like “On God” featuring Raq Baby (6.1 million views) and “Need Me” (4.1 million views).

Born and raised in Havana, Florida, just 30 minutes from Tallahassee, Hurricane Wisdom earned a big fanbase (207k YouTube subscribers, 369k Instagram followers) with his emotionally honest lyrics and entrancing melodies. His 2024 project Eye Of The Storm featured “Giannis,” a kinetic anthem dedicated to the Milwaukee Bucks superstar, which became Hurricane Wisdom’s biggest hit to date, with over 38 million YouTube views and 21 million Spotify streams. “Giannis” earned rapturous reviews from critics, as well, including Pitchfork, who called the song “the feel-good Florida anthem of the moment” and listed it at #36 on their list of the 100 Best Songs of 2024.
