Underground Hero Ricky Hil Rages on F1LTHY-Produced “General Motors”
Over his decade in the rap game, Ricky Hil earned a trendsetting reputation, pioneering sounds that would become emo rap and paving the way for the original SoundCloud sound. On the heels of his recognition by Playboi Carti earlier this year, the Limosa Nostra CEO teams with F1LTHY, the frequent Carti collaborator and underground sound architect, for “GENERAL MOTORS,” his new music video and single.
An electric party anthem, “GENERAL MOTORS” mixes F1LTHY’s signature buzzing synths and stuttering hi-hats with Ricky’s raspy mantras. The rapper kicks up his energy level, unleashing wild ad-libs and rhyming about his rock star lifestyle. In the video, directed by Edward Santiago, Ricky takes his girl to “Hil World,” populated by hydraulic-powered muscle cars, neon-lit private rooms, and pounds of green.
“GENERAL MOTORS” arrives at the end of a busy year for Ricky Hil, and heralds an even bigger one ahead. In August, Ricky officially established a joint venture between his own Limosa Nostra Records and Atlantic Records. Ricky recruited SosMula, the trap metal pioneer formerly of City Morgue, to be the label’s first signee. Sos released his new album, KAMP KRYSTL LAKE, in October, featuring a guest appearance from Ricky on highlight track “KATHEDRAL.”
A natural-born trendsetter, Ricky Hil has been a fixture in the underground since emerging in the early 2010s. The artist’s narcotic and melodic sound, focusing inward on his personal issues and rockstar dreams, was a major influence on artists in the SoundCloud era, particularly GOTH BOY CLIQUE and their superstar, Lil Peep. In the ensuing years, Ricky has continued to innovate, eliminating the line between trap and alt-rock in his music, and making a mark with his Limosa Nostra clothing brand.
Ricky is primed for a big year in 2026, highlighted by 10,000 Grams, Ricky’s upcoming collaborative album with legendary producer Lex Luger. Ricky Hil and SosMula will launch their “KILLA SEASON TOUR” in February, featuring music from Sos’s KAMP KRYSTL LAKE and the upcoming 10,000 Grams.

Stay tuned for much more from Ricky Hil in the near future.
