The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour Wraps At $1.3 Billion — Biggest Tour Ever By A Male Artist

The Weeknd After Hours Til Dawn Tour

The biggest stadium run of this era is officially in the books. The Weeknd closed out his After Hours Til Dawn tour on Wednesday night (Nov 4) at TM Stadium Nasional in Kuala Lumpur, and Live Nation has put the final number on it: more than $1.3 billion grossed and more than 9 million tickets sold, making it the highest-grossing tour by a male artist in history.

The scale of the run is hard to wrap your head around. Since kicking off on July 14, 2022 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the tour played 176 shows across 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents, carrying three album eras — After Hours, Dawn FM and Hurry Up Tomorrow — from stadium to stadium for over four years.

The record comes with real context. The Weeknd passes Elton John, whose Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour grossed over $939 million, for the male-artist crown. On the all-time list, After Hours Til Dawn now sits at No. 3, behind only Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour (over $2 billion) and Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres (over $1.5 billion). The billion-dollar tour club has exactly three members, and he just joined it.

Even the victory lap was record-breaking. The 2026 leg alone grossed over $500 million from more than 3 million tickets, and in July the tour topped Billboard’s monthly Boxscore chart with over $120 million in a single month. Along the way he set venue records at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where his seven shows are the most performances and highest gross by a male artist at the building, became the first artist to sell out six nights at Paris’ Stade de France on a single tour, and ran six nights at Toronto’s Rogers Centre in front of the home crowd.

The run gave back, too: Live Nation says $8.5 million was donated through the tour to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, supporting hunger relief and education initiatives around the world.

So let’s argue about it — if the numbers decide it, is The Weeknd the biggest touring act in the world right now, or do Swift and Coldplay still own that crown? Let us know in the comments.
