BigXthaPlug Is Standing On Business With “BETTER OVER TIME”
Dallas, stand up. BigXthaPlug’s fourth studio album, BETTER OVER TIME, is here — 18 tracks that put the Texas heavyweight right back in his rap bag, released Friday, October 30 on UnitedMasters.
This is not a crossover play. The album opens with the 50-second “STAND ON BUSINESS” and stays in that posture: big voice, big presence, Dallas all over it. But the guest list shows how far the BigX name travels now — GloRilla, Lil Yachty, Babyface Ray, Leon Thomas, Ava Max, Ro$ama, Belly Gang Kushington and Fridayy all slide through across the 18 tracks.
On first listen, three records carry the early conversation. “BELIEVE” links Dallas with Detroit and Atlanta — Babyface Ray and Lil Yachty alongside BigX. “I LIKE IT” with Loe Shimmy landed with an official visualizer on release day. And “FAF” puts BigX and GloRilla on the same record, which is exactly the kind of link-up the culture asks for.
The back half keeps the pen honest — “HEAL ME” with Fridayy is the album’s most melodic moment, and the closer “ONE” sends it home.
