iAMLYRIC Unveils Her Debut EP “BLKBIRD”
Emerging artist iAMLYRIC unveils her debut EP, “BLKBRD.” This project is an official introduction to LYRIC and her artistry blending music, visual storytelling, and narrative world-building, offering a lens into life as she’s lived it. Each track seeks to give voice to experiences that often defy explanation, creating moments that linger long after the sound fades. With honesty, joy, and awakening at its core, BLKBRD reminds us that music can heal, reveal, and keep us human.
LYRIC’s previous releases this year — her single “CHAOS” featuring Isaiah Rashad and her buzzy freestyle “Broken Barbies” — can be found on this EP, with the latter getting a new title and minor tweaks. The freestyle introduced audiences to her raw lyricism and sparked conversation across social media this past July. Born to Nigerian refugees and raised in Houston, iAMLYRIC is a first-generation American whose work is shaped by heritage, migration, and the spaces she has learned to call home. A multidisciplinary artist, LYRIC tells stories through music, film, poetry, and visual art, using each medium as a way to document her truth and translate emotion.
A concise way to describe LYRIC’s artistry: “I rap the blues.” She’s not just rapping to be heard, but she’s also creating to speak for the women whose stories are so often overlooked or forgotten. iAMLYRIC serves as a needed reminder that music can heal, reveal, and keep us human.
