Quavo Starring In New Action Film Thriller Alongside Billy Zane
Grammy-nominated recording artist Quavo will star in a new action thriller film, Takeover, alongside Billy Zane. Directed by Greg Jonkajtys (The Liberator, Arka), the new film was recently acquired by world sales agency 13 Films and is set to screen for the first time to buyers at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Additional cast members include Serayah, LaMonica Garrett, and Martin Sensmeier.
About the film: Takeover follows Guy Miller (Quavo), a parolee striving to rebuild his life just as he’s drawn back into Atlanta’s perilous street racing underworld. In a desperate bid for survival, Miller is coerced by international heist mastermind Gamal Akopyan (Zane) to execute a high-stakes diamond heist.
Coming from Trioscope Studios, the film’s screenplay was written by Jeb Stuart and Brandon Easton. Production is being handled by Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Brian Sher for Quality Films, the film and television arm of Quality Control Music; Stuart for Real Folk Productions; Don Mandrik; and Quavo for Huncho Films alongside Jen McDaniels.
