Sexyy Red Returns with High-Octane New Single “Is You Coo”
Following a red hot summer featuring high-profile collaborations, soundtrack appearances, and festival performances, Sexyy Red is read to take over the game this fall. The St. Louis Northside Princess goes back to doing what she does best on “Is You Coo,” a seductive and authoritative new trap banger.
Produced by AyyMook & Rocktee, “Is You Coo” is a throwback to the peak mixtape era, combining totemic synths and skittering hi-hats to provide a launching pad for Sexyy’s out-of-pocket flexes.
“Is You Coo” arrives shortly after the reveal of Sexyy’s spot on the Coachella 2026 lineup. The in-demand artist will make her debut in the desert next year, performing on Friday April 10th and 17th. Sexyy’s Coachella performance is only the latest in a string of high-profile festival spots, including her guest appearance during Drake’s set at Wireless Festival UK in July and Chicago’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in June.
Since breaking out with 2023’s “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee” and the acclaimed Hood Hottest Princess mixtape, Sexyy Red has been one of the most in-demand acts in music. This summer, Sexyy collaborated with Justin Bieber on “SWEET SPOT,” a highlight from his new album SWAG, which debuted at #57 on the week’s Billboard Hot 100, and teamed with other high-profile artists like Central Cee, Snoop Dogg, Jessie Murph, Maroon 5, Gucci Mane, Pluto, and Bruno Mars on her own “Fat Juicy & Wet” (#18 Billboard Hot 100 peak, #1 on Urban Radio). To date, “Fat Juicy & Wet” has racked up hundreds of millions of streams across platforms, including 43 million views on the YouTube video, with cameos from Lady Gaga and LISA.

Sexyy continued the third straight Sexyy Summer by teaming with superstar DJ Tiësto for “OMG,” a song from the hit soundtrack to summer blockbuster F1: The Movie, making waves with her single “Hoochie Coochie,” and walking the red carpet at the 2025 American Music Awards, where she earned two nominations (“Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist,” “Favorite Hip-Hop Song” for “Whatcha Know Bout Me” w/ GloRilla).
Sexyy’s honors kept on coming, as Billboard named Sexyy the “Indie Rapper of the Year” at their annual Indie Power Players event.
Sexyy is working hard on the follow-up to 2024’s hit mixtape In Sexyy We Trust, looking to build upon a year that featured her career highlight singles “Get It Sexyy,” “U My Everything,” and “Rich Baby Daddy.”
Stay tuned for much more from the Northside St. Louis princess very soon.
