Takeoff Murder Trial Pushed Back Again — Now Set for April 2027

The wait for justice in the Takeoff murder case just got longer.
The murder trial for the late Migos rapper has been pushed back again, with a judge now setting a new trial date of April 2027.
The case stems from the fatal shooting of Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, outside a Houston bowling alley in November 2022. The 28-year-old was killed during an altercation at a private party, a loss that sent shockwaves through hip-hop.
Patrick Xavier Clark, the man charged with Takeoff’s murder, has pleaded not guilty. His trial has already faced multiple delays, and the latest postponement means the case will now stretch into its fifth year without a verdict.
XXL first reported the updated trial date, noting the long road still ahead for both the prosecution and the defense as they prepare for the April 2027 proceedings.

Fans and loved ones continue to call for justice, with many expressing frustration online over how long the case has dragged on. Quavo and Offset, Takeoff’s fellow Migos members, have both spoken publicly about the pain of losing their brother and groupmate.
As April 2027 approaches, all eyes will be on Houston to see whether the trial finally moves forward — or faces yet another delay.
