B. Lotto Formally Announces His Partnership with UnitedMasters
Fresh off the heels of Virginia’s impressive industry takeover that includes artists like Pharrell, The Clipse, Mad Skillz, Shaboozey, and more, B. Lotto has formally announced his partnership with UnitedMasters. His most recent album, Underground Lottery 4, is his first full-length offering under their heralded Partner tier. B. Lotto joins a host of talented independent artists who have decided to take control of their own destiny by navigating the industry within the Steve Stoute-owned company.

Introduce yourself to the world who does not know who you are yet?
“I go by B.Lotto, and I’m an artist from Chesapeake, Virginia. The name just stands for taking calculated risks and going for it. I would say my sound blend is a mix of luxury aesthetic rap with a refined classic hip-hop storytelling.”
What is a song you would play for your idol?
“I try my best to make timeless music, songs that can last a lifetime instead of here today and gone tomorrow music, so if I had a choice I would honestly have 2. It would be “Need Me” and “Improvise” ft SP the Child. Something that could be played over a decade or more.”
What do you want fans to take from your new effort?
“The natural, organic authenticity, the energy, the feeling that you feel inside when you listen to my music. It’s about feeling more than Anything else. It not about the picture I painted, but something you can relate to in your own way.”
Where are you from? Also, how does your city help shape your sound?
“The thing about it actually affects me a lot. Just knowing that I’m from a state where we are trendsetters and creators that turned ourselves into legends helps me stay original in my craft.”
Who are some artists that influence your creative output?
“It’s a collective of artists like Future, Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Jadakiss, Mattel, of course.”
What is your goal with music in general?
“To put out timeless and quality music. Music that doesn’t get old. Something that can last a decade.”
Fashion seems like something that is important to you; what is your process like when deciding what to wear?
“You make the clothes; the clothes don’t make you is what I always say, so with saying that, it just depends on what I like or the occasion. I like to have my own brain when it comes to fashion, and normally I try to go for brands that people don’t normally even know about, just what appeals to me.”
How does your artist career change now that you’ve partnered with UnitedMasters?
“It’s good to be with a label that can work with me and not against me in the right way, and having them has been a great step in just putting me on a pedestal and making me a tangible artist.”
Who are some of your dream collaborators?
“That’s a question I still have to ponder.”
What are your future plans after this project?
“The goal is to keep putting out quality songs, albums, or just well-rounded music overall and tapping into other genres that can sustain timing. It takes time sometimes, but knowing I’m building music that can last a storm makes the process special.”
