Fat Joe Says Jay-Z Made $300 Million ‘Rehearsing’ for the Super Bowl

Fat Joe just said the quiet part out loud. According to Joe, Jay-Z’s whole JAŸ-Z30 victory lap — the stadiums, the anniversary nights, the record-breaking grosses — was really one long rehearsal for the Super Bowl. And the rehearsal, Joe says, paid better than most legends’ actual tours.

Story: Fat Joe, speaking on Joe & Jada (Netflix), clip via @joeandjada on Instagram; box office figures via Touring Data.

On the new episode of Joe & Jada — Fat Joe and Jadakiss’ show, now streaming on Netflix — Joe broke down what he says was really going on with Hov’s run of anniversary shows: “all of them five, six shows he did was just rehearsal for the Super Bowl.” Then he put the number on it: “He made 300 million while rehearsing for the Super Bowl.” Joe could only shake his head at the level of the play, calling what Jay-Z has been able to do “unheard of.”

Now let’s be clear about what’s a claim and what’s a receipt. The $300 million is Fat Joe’s number — his words, on his show — and no public box-office reporting backs a $300 million tour total. But the verified numbers are still stupid. Per Touring Data, the three Yankee Stadium shows alone (July 10–12, 2026) grossed $42,290,766 on 136,934 tickets — the biggest box office report by a rapper in history. Night one, celebrating 30 years of Reasonable Doubt, did $14.097 million by itself, Jay-Z’s highest-grossing single concert ever. Night two marked 25 years of The Blueprint. The finale, “Extra Innings,” brought out Clipse, Pharrell, Rihanna and Usher — and Fat Joe and Jadakiss themselves performed that night, so Joe isn’t talking from the couch, he’s talking as a man who stood on that stage. The run also played London and Paris before closing at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on October 23–24.

So is Joe’s $300 million just podcast talk? Maybe. Or maybe Joe is counting the whole play — the shows, the moment, everything attached to a run that doubled as preparation for the biggest stage in sports. Either way, his bigger point lands: even the VERIFIED gross already made history, and if all of that was really just the warm-up for the Super Bowl halftime show, then Hov played the entire industry like a rehearsal schedule. That’s not a tour. That’s a magic trick with a box office attached.

So let’s talk about it: do you believe Fat Joe’s $300 million number — and if the JAŸ-Z30 run was really just rehearsal, what does that make the Super Bowl performance itself?
