“Deport Nicki Minaj” Petition Passes 100,000 Signatures
A Change.org petition titled “Deport Nicki Minaj to Trinidad” has now passed 100,000 verified signatures — the petition page showed 100,001 names and counting in a screenshot circulating Thursday — as the backlash against Nicki Minaj’s pro-Trump turn keeps finding new fuel.

This is not a new petition. It launched back in July 2025, during Nicki’s heated social media feud with Jay-Z, and sat collecting names for months. It surged again after her December appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, where she praised President Donald Trump — and a second petition, started by a 16-year-old Chicago student who accused her of betraying the community that built her, pulled more than 40,000 signatures of its own. Together, the deportation petitions passed 120,000 signatures by January.
The number is climbing again in a week when Nicki is already at the center of the culture’s argument — her Election Day “Vote Red” Chucky post set off another round this week, with Chucky creator Don Mancini himself firing back at her.
For all the signatures, the petition has no legal force. Analysts have said repeatedly that there is no legal basis to deport Minaj — a green card holder — over her political speech, which is protected. Nicki, for her part, has trolled the petitions before, saying she is finalizing her U.S. citizenship paperwork.

So here is the question for the comments: is a petition like this fair game when a superstar goes political — or does calling for somebody’s deportation cross a line?
