Yella Beezy Trial: Friend Testifies White Confessed To Killing Mo3 — Jurors Watch Beezy’s “Lick Back” Vlad Interview

Yella Beezy’s capital murder trial in Dallas is in its second week, and Wednesday and Thursday brought the prosecution’s most damaging stretch yet. Prosecutors allege that Markies “Yella Beezy” Conway paid Kewon White $40,000 to kill rival Dallas rapper Mo3 — born Melvin Noble Jr. — who was ambushed and shot on Interstate 35E on November 11, 2020. Conway has pleaded not guilty and denies any involvement. White was convicted of capital murder in September and sentenced to life in prison.

On Wednesday, Cedric Bradley, a longtime associate now in federal custody, took the stand. Bradley, who pleaded guilty to federal drug conspiracy and machine gun charges and faces up to 30 years, testified that White confessed to him after the shooting: that White shot Mo3 from a vehicle, chased him on foot and shot him in the back — and that White was angry he still had not been paid the money he was promised, allegedly warning that someone else would be next. Bradley said he came forward because “the code was broken” — with others testifying, he saw no reason to keep holding up his end. Courtroom reports say that as he left the stand, Bradley stared at Beezy and smirked.

Beezy’s defense went straight at Bradley’s credibility. In a September 2024 meeting with lead detective Eric Barnes, Bradley told investigators he knew nothing about the murder. His lawyers argue Bradley is performing for a lighter sentence under his cooperation agreement. Prosecutors countered that Bradley’s federal plea was filed June 25, 2026 — before he ever sat down with state prosecutors about this case.

On Thursday, jurors watched Beezy’s August 2019 VladTV interview, recorded months after he survived being shot in Lewisville — a shooting investigators have connected to Mo3 and his crew. Asked about whoever shot him, Beezy said: “I’ma get my lick back. I don’t give a f**k. Ain’t no walking away.” In the same interview, he denied knowing Mo3.

Detective Barnes also walked jurors through the years-long feud behind the case, including diss tracks, social media posts and the January 2020 assault on Mo3’s manager, Brandon Rainwater. If convicted of capital murder, Conway faces life in prison. The trial is expected to run about two weeks and resumed Friday.
