Mike Epps’ Life Advice Left Dr. Dre & Ice Cube Stuck: “Keep Making Mistakes”

Mike Epps might be the only man alive who can give Dr. Dre and Ice Cube life advice and leave both of them speechless.

Mike Epps

Epps sat down with Dre and Cube on the Listen and Laugh Podcast, and the clip moving across X right now is pure Epps logic. At 61 years old, he jokes, anybody still holding something against him has to go all the way back to his twenties to find it. Then he delivers the philosophy, straight-faced, while the two legends sit there trying to process it:

“If you want to live a long time, keep making mistakes. If you get your sh*t together, God gonna call you home.”

That’s a joke from his stand-up, and the beauty of the clip is watching it land. Dre and Cube don’t argue with it. They don’t co-sign it either. They just laugh and sit with it — two of the most disciplined, plan-every-move men in music history hearing a man credit his survival to never fully getting it together.

There’s a real thought buried in the laugh, though, and Epps knows it. Perfection is pressure. Mistakes mean you’re still moving, still learning, still here. Epps has lived a full public life — the Friday franchise, the stand-up stages, the headlines, the comebacks — and he’s still standing at 61, telling two icons that the secret is to stop chasing flawless.

The clip has been running since Friday night, pulling 26K views and counting on the post that’s carrying it. Watch it below and tell us: is Mike Epps dropping game, or is this the most dangerous advice ever given on a podcast?
