Lil Baby Is Back Outside With “FRESH”

Lil Baby FRESH

Atlanta, talk to me. Lil Baby’s fifth studio album FRESH is here — 17 tracks through Quality Control Music and Motown Records, and the statement is in the structure: the guest list fits on two records, and Baby carries the other 15 himself.

Baby announced the album in October, revealing the cover art and the full tracklist himself. It follows 2025’s WHAM and The Leaks mixtape, and the era opened months early with “Dead Fresh,” the Pharrell Williams-produced lead single that landed in July and has been argued about ever since — some call it the catchiest Lil Baby record in years, some aren’t sold, and the debate itself became part of the rollout. It sits at track 10, the center of the album.

The headline record is “All My Partnas” — Future, Young Thug and Rylo Rodriguez on one track, a reunion of the run that defined Atlanta’s last decade. Rylo is also the only other guest voice on the album, appearing again on “In Your Head.” Everything else — the opener “Top Uh It,” “Life of the Party (L.O.T.P.),” “Rareform,” the closer “Keep Goin” — is Baby alone with the pen.

First listen — and we’ll keep it honest, this round is off the official previews, not a full-album sit-down. The opener “Top Uh It” is Baby in a full sprint, stacking bars with nobody else in the room — a statement of intent for a mostly solo album. The “All My Partnas” preview never leaves the chant: the title phrase looped like an anthem for the whole window, which means the guest verses everybody is waiting on are still a press-play question. “In Your Head” is the melodic one — reflective, built around its title phrase, the voice in your head holding you back. And “Dead Fresh” still lands its title as the hook. Thirty seconds at a time only goes so far; the full play decides the rest.

And he is outside with it — Hip-Hop Vibe reports Baby is set to perform at halftime of the Atlanta Hawks game at State Farm Arena on November 7, the day after the drop.

The verdict: the structure is the story — a superstar betting on himself, 15 of 17 solo, with the one big reunion placed exactly where it lands hardest. But the timeline is split down the middle: praise posts are calling it 17-for-17 and talking album of the year, detractors are calling it boring, one reviewer hung a 4 out of 10 on it — and Lil Yachty was spotted playing it on his Story within hours of the drop. So we’re not calling it off previews. Stream FRESH on all platforms, and check the ITSBIZKIT first-listen carousel on Instagram — then tell us where you land, and your top track.
