Ye Is Back on the Runway — Yeezy Season 01 Brings Out Kid Cudi, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Hit-Boy in Los Angeles
Four years later, Ye is back on the runway.
On Wednesday night (November 4), Ye staged Yeezy Season 01 at the brand’s new flagship, Droam 1, on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles — his first full runway presentation since Season 9 in Paris in 2022, and the show that officially reopens the store and relaunches the line.
There was no traditional runway. Models in minimal, monochromatic looks walked circles around a giant white hill built in the middle of the room, with rising rapper Nettspend among the models and unreleased Ye music as the soundtrack.
The guest list told its own story. Kid Cudi was in the building and was captured on video talking with Ye himself — the latest public step in a friendship the culture watched fall apart and slowly come back. Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Hit-Boy were also there in support, alongside Ye’s daughter North West, Bianca Censori, A$AP Nast and Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo.
The “Season 01” name is the message: after the adidas split and four years off the runway, Ye is numbering the whole thing from zero. Whether the fashion world fully lets him back in is a separate conversation — but on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, the room was full, the cameras were up, and the show went on.
