Man Accused Of Posing As Sexyy Red’s Manager Charged In New Sexual Battery Case In Florida

A South Florida man accused of posing as Sexyy Red’s manager is back behind bars, charged in a new sexual battery case — the second time police say he has used the rapper’s name in the same kind of alleged scheme.

Vladimir Jean-Joseph, 43, faces sexual battery and false imprisonment charges in Hialeah, tied to an alleged attack over Halloween weekend, according to an arrest report covered by WPLG Local 10. Police say an Orlando woman told detectives she met Jean-Joseph at a club in May, where he introduced himself as “the manager for rapper Sexyy Red,” and that the two stayed in touch afterward.

Investigators say Jean-Joseph offered the woman and her friends a free place to stay while they visited South Florida. According to the arrest report, she returned alone to the apartment after a night out in Miami Beach and went to sleep, and he allegedly entered her bedroom without permission and assaulted her after she rejected his advances. A friend took her to HCA Florida JFK Hospital, where a sexual assault examination was completed. Detectives arrested Jean-Joseph on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach days later.

The arrest report also notes that a second woman alleged an assault, though police said she had not yet met with detectives to give a statement. Jean-Joseph was already out on bond in a separate case involving allegations of resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer, and jail records cited by Local 10 showed him held at the Metrowest Detention Center after the latest arrest.

This is not the first time his name has surfaced next to Sexyy Red’s. In 2024, Miami Gardens police accused Jean-Joseph of approaching a woman after a Sexyy Red event under the name “Alexander Beamer,” claiming to represent the St. Louis rapper, and allegedly assaulting her at his home. Sexyy Red’s spokesperson said plainly at the time: “Vladimir Joseph is not her manager.” Prosecutors later dropped the 2024 charges; the reason was not immediately available.

Jean-Joseph has not been convicted in the new case, and the charges are allegations. ITSBIZKIT will update this story as the court record develops.
